🛰️ Dreadfarer — Official News Post 2/01

Hello, travelers!

This is the first ever official news post for Dreadfarer ✨
Going forward, news posts will be shared monthly, typically alongside each month’s event or 'Main Mission'. These posts will cover group updates, new content, changes, and anything important the playerbase should know.

🌌 A Small Beginning

To start off — Dreadfarer is officially open.

This group was originally created as a passion project for myself, my partner, and a few friends who expressed interest. While I don’t expect it to become large, it is something I care deeply about and intend to nurture long-term. Dreadfarer is a slow-burn, lore-heavy sci-fi ARPG built with intention, and I’m fully committed to seeing it grow into what it’s meant to be.

🛠️ Current Progress & Works in Progress

You may notice that some sections are still incomplete or marked as WIP. Since the group has only just opened — and both admins have had a very busy month — progress slowed more than expected. That said, we’re actively catching up and focusing on making sure all vital information is clear, accessible, and easy to navigate.

Our current main works in progress include:

• 🌐 A dedicated website to better organize lore, mechanics, and resources

• 🎨 Finalizing resource icons for gameplay use

• 🪐 Revising the Voidi & Home Planet sections to better support their lore and mechanical importance

These sections will be expanded and refined over time — nothing here is abandoned, just still growing.

🚀 Our First Event

We’re also happy to share that our first official event is live and can be found here: The Resonance Brace.

Participation is completely optional — there’s no pressure at all — but the event does offer unique, limited-time rewards for those who choose to take part. If you enjoy lore, exploration, or just dipping your toes into the setting, it’s a great place to start.
